starting over
Well, kind of. I use the word "well" a lot, I've noticed. Sorry about that!
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my new OBGYN. He's a he, which is slightly disconcerting. I've gravitated toward women doctors, but times they are-a-changin!
One thing I do like about him, without ever having met him, is that he wants my records from the RE. My previous doc never asked to see them. He wants to see the records of the semen analysis that DH had, and whatever other records they have of me over there (I had several u/s there, plus an HSG). At least he will be (or should be!) well-prepared.
I really hope that he opts for a higher dose of Clomid. I feel like it's a waste to take 50 mg again when it didn't do anything special for me the first time.I supposed I will find out tomorrow!

Good luck! My RE is a man and I love him so much. He is honest and straight to the point which you need when you've been doing this for so long. I hope he agrees to up your dose!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you. One question, are you seeing an ob/gyn over an RE? Just wondering about that and wanting to make sure that you are getting the best possible care (and the fastest route to a baby).

Kelly - Thanks!! :)
ReplyDeletecgd - Yes, I am seeing an OBGYN this cycle. I have seen an RE in the past, and that's where I did my IUI cycle wayyy back in March (feels like forever ago!). I also went into his office last month and he told me my cervix doesn't look like a normal cervix, and it embarrassed me! I know it was from my surgery, but still. Also, he's probably no older than 30, which makes me question his experience. He's nice, but I just don't know. I decided to go back to an OBGYN in hopes of just doing an unmonitored Clomid cycle, instead of doing all the ultrasounds and thing that cost extra money.
My tentative plan is to do 2 unmonitored Clomid cycles, and if that doesn't take then I will go back to the RE and try some more IUIs.
Hope that makes some sense! :)
Good luck!! I think that's a great plan!!
